A special attraction for children: a four-hectare wildlife enclosure, encircled by a walking trail with several benches.

The deer enclosure is located directly next to the outdoor pool, in the Erlebnisland Kegelsberg amusement park, which, among other things, also offers motorhome pitches, break area for hikers and cyclists, Alpine Coaster, outdoor pool, mini golf, tennis court and log cabins for overnight stays, an observation tower, educational trail, sports area with double-court hall and stadium, an extensive forest area with many cycling and hiking trails and a fitness & health studio.

At the deer enclosure you can watch fallow deer; keep an eye out for the newly born animals in spring.

There is a beautiful view of the whole area from the bridge. Open all year round.

Price:

Free of charge. A hiking trail and plenty of seating lead around the game reserve.

Public transport

The nearest stop is “Freibad/Sportareal”, located directly next to the motorhome park. It is served by the local bus line 209. At the central stop in Gelenau, you can transfer to regional and national lines.

By road

From the B95, turn onto Strasse der Einheit towards Gelenau. In the town centre, when you get to the town hall, turn left again and drive towards the Erlebnisland Kegelsberg/Freibad Gelenau/ALPINE-COASTER-BAHN as far as the edge of the town. The Kegelberg deer enclosure is situated at the lower end of town on Kemtauer Strasse.
